Meet the team
Corinne Carthy
Corinne is originally from France, and has been living in Ireland for the last 21 years with her husband and 4 children. Over the years, she has developed a love of natural foods and the value of good healthy eating.
In early 2013, as her boys were growing up and needed her less, she decided to follow her passion by studying Nutrition.
In 2016, Corinne graduated from the Irish Institute of Nutrition & Health (‘IINH’) with a Nutritional Science & Therapeutics Diploma, and a Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching Certificate.
As a fervent believer in detoxification to obtain ultimate health and vitality, Corinne has attended 7- and 14-day fasting and detoxing retreats in France and Ireland over the last 11 years. Having experienced first-hand the body's tremendous ability to adapt and self-heal during a fast, Corinne wanted to share this wonderful physical and mental well-being one feels after a few days of fasting.
In 2018, she attended the "Institut Superieur de Naturopathie” (ISUPNAT) in Paris, France to train and certify in the support of dietary fasting, and as a Coach in the theoretical and practical field of “fasting”. The training also included a 14-day fast and field training with Pierre and Dominique of l’Amandier, where Corinne deepened her understanding and learning of what is involved in accompanying fasting groups with care and professionalism. She now holds the ISUPNAT Certificate to coach and run Fasting Retreats, officially recognised by the FFJR (Francophone Federation of Fasting and Hiking®).
Furthermore, having been a regular practitioner of Yoga for over 15 years, in 2019 Corinne decided to train as a Yoga Therapist with Yoga Therapy Ireland and as of June 2021, completed her YTI-recognised International Yoga Alliance (YA) 500-hour yoga teacher training qualification.
Yoga therapy is a growing field and scientific evidence has begun to emphasize its efficacy with mental and physical health issues, so independently of her YTI course, Corinne took an extra 4 months of modules to specialise in Yoga for Parkinson’s with Theresa Conroy and Renée Le Verrier, (a stroke survivor and a person living with Parkinson's disease). Both USA-based yoga therapists and instructors are certified by IAYT and their teaching focuses on creating adaptations and modifications for individuals who find it challenging to move with ease.
